Laiki Gitonia, Archontiko
📍Aristokyprou street
Eleni Christou (AU/CY) is a creative producer whose practice is centred around community collaboration, ancestral re-collection and the local. Lauren Mavromati (AU/CY) is an artist whose practice is the product of generational textile handicrafts, taking on the therapeutic qualities of textile practices while playing with themes of memory, culture, gender and queerness.
Their interdisciplinary work embeds inherent connection between textile and culinary arts, embodying joy, melancholy and ritual found in their labour-intensive processes. Through ancestral practices, they invite possibilities for curiosity, reflection and connection.
Siga siga / Slowly slowly is an invitation for both ourselves and our community to be immersed in process, nurturing the spaces in between, missing pieces, and threading our experiences as diasporic Cypriots.
