How did your musical partnership come about?
Our collaboration came about initially through our friendship, but also because we are attracted to similar elements in music. These elements include aesthetic characteristics of both Cyprus and the wider Eastern Mediterranean.
What are your personal experiences that drive your musical compositions?
For us, apart from musical experimentation, whether it has to do with rhythms, melodies, harmonies or compositional forms, our musical compositions are directly influenced by our experiences with people and the environment (specific locations, but also elements and organisms of nature).
What social, environmental or economic conditions influence the whole musical project?
The environment in which we live in, and our relationship with it, enriches both our imagination and the images or feelings we want to express. As far as social and cultural conditions are concerned, this affects to a certain extent the immediacy with which we can share our music with the world, but not the necessity of creating and connecting with the listeners!
